Professor Ruth Rettie (principal investigator)

Ruth is a social scientist, with interests in sociological practice theory, the social norm approach, sustainable development, social marketing and internet marketing. On CHARM, Ruth is responsible for the overall conceptual development, research design, implementation and dissemination of the project. Ruth is also the principal investigator on the Smart Communities project.
Dr Parisa Eslambolchilar (co-investigator)
Lecturer, Swansea University
Parisa specialises in mobile human-computer interaction (HCI), with specific interests in dynamic and resilience interaction, HCI in medical devices and persuasive technologies. On CHARM, Parisa is responsible for the development, implementation and dissemination of the technologies used in the active lifestyle study.
Dr Matt Studley (co-investigator)
Senior Lecturer, University of West England
Matt specialises in robotics, with specific interests in machine learning and biologically-inspired robotics. On CHARM, Matt is responsible for the development, implementation and dissemination of the technologies used in the energy study.
Senior Research Fellow, Kingston University
Senior Researcher, Behaviour and Practice Research Group
Tim is a social scientist with an interest in practices, norms and behaviour change, particularly with regard to climate change mitigation and adaptation. On CHARM, Tim contributes to the overall conceptual development of the project and is responsible for the ongoing design and day-to-day implementation of all three studies.

Deputy Director, Behaviour and Practice Research Group
Kevin is a social scientist with interests in sustainable development and social change, and science and society issues. On CHARM, Kevin now makes a background contribution to the conceptual development and day-to-day implementation of the project. Kevin is now the co-investigator on the Smart Communities project.
